World Food Books semi-regularly co-ordinates "Occasions", a programme of exhibits and events at the bookshop and in partnership with other hosts (such as museums and art galleries) that develop out of the activities, relationships and content of the bookshop itself. Presenting new titles alongside rare and out-of-print books, catalogues and journals spanning the fields of modern and contemporary art, design, popular culture and literature in its many radical forms, World Food Books wishes to encourage active and thoughtful reading, looking, writing, and exchanging of independent publishing, both current and historical.Īs well as our bookshop, located in Melbourne's historical Nicholas Building, all of our inventory is available internationally via our online mail-order service. Founded in 2010, World Food Books is devoted to the presentation of a rotating, hand-selection of international art, design and literary publications with an emphasis on the anti-traditional, the experimental, the avant-garde, the marginal. World Food Books is an arts bookshop in Naarm / Melbourne.
